Ballet principles are introduced in a gentle and age-appropriate way. Barre work includes beginning basics such as 1st through 3rd foot positions, plies and tendus. Floor work includes stretches, tendu, port de bras, ronde de jambe, and other simple beginning steps, as well as small and large jetes (jumps) and leaps. Leotard Color is LIGHT PINK.

Beginning Ballet for ages 6-8 years (or Kindergarten through 2nd grade). Basic ballet positions, port de bras, ronde de jambe, the five arm positions, bourres, skips, leaps, marches, ballet walks, shasse, jete, glissade, grande jete, rhythm, musicality and ballet progressions as well as proper alignment are emphasized in this class. Leotard color is LIGHT BLUE.
Ballet III-IV, Ages 7-9

For those that were in Ballet I-II for several years; attended Dance Camp or summer classes and are ready for more challenge/or had two years or more of Ballet and have mastered basic steps and positions of ballet and able to complete a (simple) dance combination of four or more different steps. This class continues training in the Bolshoi method with further technique building upon previous experience, focusing on balance, strength and flexibility with steps such as pas de chats, glissades, bourres, jetes and more. This class is the next step in the fundamentals of ballet with more advanced movements and exercises such as ronde de jambe en l’air, degage and petit battement. Leotard Color is LILAC/LAVENDER.
Ballet V-VI , For "tweens", ages 9-11

For ages 9-11yrs the dancer that has had previous ballet training and wants to dance more. This class meets twice a week. Instruction builds upon the curriculum already set in Ballet I/II and III/IV. Leaps, jumps, turns and correct placement is emphasized, along with the adagio, allegro and furthering correct placement, balance and posture positioning. Spatial skills are emphasized along with longer and enhanced combinations, requiring more ballet technique knowledge and continuing development. Leotard Color is MAGENTA/PINK w/Princess cut.
Junior Intermediate Ballet, Ages 10-14 (Pointe/Pre-Pointe)

The Junior Ballet is an intermediate level of pre-pointe or pointe students, as well as boys, aged 10-14. For the more earnest dancer, this class meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and, although not required, most are members of the Dance Company. Ballet Technique is taught using the Russian approach; a more enhanced barre, floor stretches and center work are emphasized. As always, special attention is paid to knee, hip and ankle placement in response to growth plates and maturation. Must have a least three years of ballet training and/or meet with instructor approval. Leotard Color is ROYAL BLUE PRINCESS CUT.
Senior Advanced Ballet, Ages 14+

For ages 14 and up, the Advanced Ballet class is a workout for the experienced dancer. This class meets twice a week and includes pointe and pre-pointe levels. Technique class based on the Russian Bolshoi ballet technique along with French terminology. Students complete a full barre, core/stretching, center work including adagio, petit allegro, large and small motor movements including balance, glissade, port de bras, jete, pirouette, grand jete, fouette, brisee, enchainments, echappe, entrechechat and so much more. The Bolshoi method produces technically strong dancers that are highly athletic. Leotard Color is GREEN w/Princess Cut.
Boy's Ballet

Pointe Class For Intermediate to Advanced levels from pre-pointe to pointe, this class is intended to strengthen ankles, arches, feet, posture, placement and technique through warmups, combinations and intense training. If you are a pointe dancer (or plan to be) this class is for you!

After a long day at work, studying or caring for kids (or anything else you do), stretch your muscles, align your spine, perfect your balance, feel better and stand taller after!

A varied level class: For both adults that are new to ballet (and want a workout!) or have danced ballet in the past, a full ballet class with barre and stretches, center floor, adagio, allegro and petit allegro movements. Focus is on fun and having the complete workout a ballet class offers, maintaining healthy bone structure, postural alignment, learning athletic as well as graceful steps and toning muscles with a group of very accepting and enjoyable people!
